Data provides consumer counts for services provided to aging citizens of Iowa funded through federal and state programs starting in 2009 and is updated annually. It includes self-reported demographic information for services provided by age group, gender, live alone status, rural status, poverty status, racial identity, and ethnicity (per U.S. Census definitions). Counts include only those individuals who provided a response on intake. Intakes are completed on service initiation and annually thereafter. Unduplicated counts are by service; an individual may have received more than one service. Data is dynamic and any corrections by the AAA at the local level after August 30, of each year would not be reflected in this report. Total Consumers is an unduplicated count for that specific service. In other words, the total number of consumers from all services added together is higher than the actual number of persons served across all services, because some people need and receive more than one service. The dataset includes only services where specified consumer intake information considered a "detailed" profile of consumer characteristics was completed. This data set does not reflect all services provided by the Iowa Aging Network.
