The map below shows the amount of payments (in dollars) to cities and counties by county for local option sales taxes collected during fiscal year 2011 (July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011). Local option sales taxes are those sales taxes collected above the state-wide amount. Please note that not all communities in Iowa levy a local option sales tax.
